The 9th FRANCHISE AWARDS ceremony took place on Wednesday, February 1, 2017, at Palmie bistro in Kefalari at 6:00 p.m. under the auspices of the Hellenic Chamber of Commerce and Industry (EBEA) and the National Confederation of Greek Commerce (ESEE), with Palmie Bistro as the Grand Sponsor and FRANCHISE BUSINESS magazine as the organizer.<\/p>\n
The 22 best retail chains, which stood out for their performance and growth initiatives in 2016, were honored during a spectacular evening hosted by Marketing Consultant Themis Sarantena. The entire franchising community was in attendance, and more than 450 participants highlighted franchising itself and its potential as a pathway to entrepreneurship and growth amid the current recession. <\/p>\n
The event was marked by brief remarks from Mr. Nikolaos Manesiotis, Official Representative of the Hellenic Confederation of Commerce and Entrepreneurship (ESEE) and Secretary General of the Piraeus Chamber of Commerce, Maximilianos Konstantinidis, President of KEM S.A., and Stamatis Andrianopoulos, Founder and Executive Director of PLANNNING S.A.<\/p>\n
