This book is the culmination of many years of teaching experience in tutoring classes and reflects our effort to help students successfully meet the challenges of the course.
Unlike other books on the market, this edition is intended primarily for use in the classroom, with the aim of supporting the educational process by inspiring students to discover the power and beauty of mathematical thinking and logic.
Aimed at students and teachers, we seek to provide a valuable tool for organizing one’s thoughts and approaching the methodology behind all types of exercises.
The book’s structure is based on the following philosophy: Each type of exercise is accompanied by an explanation, solved examples, and unsolved exercises—on the one hand, to give students the initial impetus to think, and on the other, to enable them to successfully tackle similar and dissimilar problems.
It is clear that mathematical thinking begins with classifying a problem into a certain methodological category and extends all the way to solving complex problems. Through the pages of this book, let’s embark together on the journey of mathematical thinking that will lead our students closer to their own “intellectual Ithaca.”
