ONLINE MEETING DETAILS
- Date & Time: Wednesday, January 17, 2024; Start time: 6:00 p.m.; End time: 8:00 p.m.
- Topic: “Stress Management: In the Context of Exams”
- Summary: Psychologists from the organization “The Smile of the Child” responding to the needs of children and their caregivers, have developed an intervention addressing the challenges faced by students and their parents/caregivers during the school exam period. The goal of the program is to support caregivers and children both through counseling and by providing a space to unwind. Through an open discussion, the concept of stress, its signs, and how it manifests in individuals are explored, while the importance of prevention is emphasized. Furthermore, strategies for managing stress and promoting relaxation are suggested, including through the strengthening of the mental resilience of both the child and the caregiver. The program is organized within an experiential framework to address the individual needs of participants. What is performance anxiety, and how can I tell if my child is struggling? How can I help? What helps and what doesn’t during a challenging time for the child and the family? What are my own challenges? This program aims to answer all of the above questions, guided by the needs of parents and students.
