We are collecting food, stationery, and basic necessities through Monday, December 4, 2023.
Just like every year, we will visit the Hatzikyriakeio Foundation before the Christmas holidays.
The Hatzikyriakeio Child Protection Foundation was established in 1889 and provides care for vulnerable girls in need. We provide education, housing, meals, medical care, and support. Our vision is for every child to have the opportunity to grow into an independent member of society, in an environment that supports and inspires them. With transparency, accountability, and sensitivity, the Hatzikyriakeio Foundation designs and implements programs and initiatives for the benefit of the girls in our care. The Foundation’s funding comes primarily from donations and grants, as well as from the efforts of its volunteers.
At this time, a total of 49 girls are staying at the Foundation.
We contacted the staff at the Hatzikyriakeio, and they sent us a list of the children’s needs for food, cleaning supplies, and school supplies (with olive oil being the most urgent need):
We are sending you the lists.
If you would like to support this effort, you can bring the needed items to the central administration offices by Monday, December 4, 2023.
We would like to extend our special thanks to the students and teachers of the DIAKROTIMA Club for their support and commitment over the years!
