An Open Letter to Students.
The DIAKROTIMA tutoring centers offer all high school students, as well as sixth-grade elementary students who want to test their abilities, a series of tests of varying difficultyin the core subjects of their grade level.
We know that, for most people, tests are often a source of anxiety for those taking them.
This is because the grade they receive is linked to their performance on the final exams. However, the questions on a test constitute only a small portion of the topics that could be included in the curriculum to which they refer. Therefore, one cannot draw reliable conclusions about the quality of their preparation by looking only at their results.
The purpose of the tests developed by the academic department of the F.M.E. DIAKROTIMA Group is to provide participating students with an easy and quick way to:
A. To assess their current level in each of the core courses in their grade.
B. To identify gaps through automatic correction and the provided answers, so that appropriate corrective actions can be taken.
C. To identify their interests and the courses that suit them best.
Finally, we should remember that the primary purpose of a test is learning, not assessment.
The more often a person recalls the knowledge they have learned and applies it when asked to do so, the more they strengthen their knowledge base.
For these very reasons, we encourage you to approach these tests as a fun, “playful” process that brings joy rather than stress, keeping in mind that every time you complete a test, you get closer to your goals and become better by learning from your mistakes!
